Dr. Aun Jamal is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon with comprehensive expertise in complex cancer surgery. He graduated from Services Institute of Medical Sciences as one of the top graduates of his class and completed his General Surgery residency at Services Hospital, Lahore, earning FCPS (General Surgery).
He further advanced his surgical training by attaining MRCS qualifications from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, reflecting internationally benchmarked surgical competence. With a dedicated focus on cancer care, he joined Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre for fellowship training in Surgical Oncology, subsequently qualifying FCPS (Surgical Oncology).
Dr. Jamal was appointed as one of the youngest Assistant Professors in the history of Punjab at Ameer-ud-Din Medical College and Lahore General Hospital, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and developing surgical oncology services within the public sector. He was later promoted to Associate Professor and currently serves as Associate Professor of Surgery at Services Hospital, Lahore, actively contributing to clinical excellence, academic leadership, and surgical training.
In 2021, he joined Evercare Hospital Lahore as a Consultant Surgical Oncologist and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon, where he is among the lead surgeons and has been instrumental in strengthening surgical oncology as a specialty. He has also joined Shaukat Khanam Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre as a Consultant Surgical Oncologist and continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant, remaining closely involved in multidisciplinary oncologic care at a leading international cancer center.
Dr. Jamal is an active academic surgeon and researcher, having authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications in international high-impact journals. He also serves as a peer reviewer for multiple international surgical and oncology journals, contributing to the advancement and quality assurance of contemporary oncologic research.
He additionally holds the distinction of completing the European Board in Surgical Oncology, reaffirming his commitment to globally recognized standards of excellence.
