What is a Fertility Window?
Your fertility window is the 6-day period during your menstrual cycle when you're most likely to conceive. It includes the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself.
Track your menstrual cycle, find your most fertile days, and calculate your fertility window with our professional ovulation calculator. This tool helps you understand your ovulation patterns for better pregnancy planning. Note: This tool should not be used alone to prevent pregnancy. Results are estimates as ovulation cycles can vary.
Choose the topics you want to explore in your results report:
Based on your selected topics, here's your detailed fertility analysis:
Your fertility window is the 6-day period during your menstrual cycle when you're most likely to conceive. It includes the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself.
Ovulation is the release of a mature egg from your ovary, which then travels down the fallopian tube where it can be fertilized by sperm.
Your menstrual cycle consists of three main phases: Follicular phase, Ovulation, and Luteal phase.
The best time to take a pregnancy test is after your missed period. Testing too early can result in false negatives.
If conception occurs, your estimated due date is calculated based on your last menstrual period.
Get the most accurate results by following these simple steps:

Select one, two, or all three topics based on your personal needs and interests.

Examine your personalized fertility report with expandable sections for each topic you selected.
Download your comprehensive report as a multi-page PDF for easy reference or to share with your healthcare provider.
Find answers to common questions about ovulation, fertility, and using this calculator.
Topic selection customizes the detailed information shown in your report. If you select "Planning a Pregnancy," you'll see more information about conception timing and fertility optimization. "Tracking My Cycle" focuses on menstrual cycle phases and period predictions. "Birth Control Planning" provides information about fertility awareness methods. You can select any combination of topics, and all basic calculations will still be shown regardless of your selections.
The PDF report includes: Your ovulation calendar with color-coded fertile days, detailed sections for each topic you selected (Fertile Window, Approximate Ovulation, Next Period, Pregnancy Test Day, Estimated Due Date), visual charts of your cycle phases, key dates and recommendations, and comprehensive information about each fertility topic. The report is professionally formatted with the Creative Labs Medical Calculators header and footer for easy sharing with healthcare providers.
This tool should not be used alone for birth control. While it can help you understand your fertility patterns, the calendar method (rhythm method) has a high failure rate for pregnancy prevention because ovulation timing can vary. If you select the "Birth Control Planning" topic, you'll learn about fertility awareness methods, but these should be used under the guidance of a trained instructor and often combined with barrier methods for increased effectiveness.
This calculator is based on established medical research and clinical guidelines. Below are the references used to develop this tool:
Ovulation Date Formula: Based on the standard 28-day cycle model where ovulation occurs approximately 14 days before the next menstrual period. For cycles of different lengths, the formula adjusts accordingly.
Fertile Window: Calculated as the 6-day period ending on the day of ovulation, based on research showing sperm can survive up to 5 days in the female reproductive tract.
Due Date Calculation: Uses Naegele's rule: First day of last menstrual period + 280 days (40 weeks).
